Ha, remember last week when I was 80kg? *sigh* Well, I had a week of going completely off the deep end, and I’ve gained a whole stack of weight back on. I was busy, I didn’t exercise, I ate badly (on purpose) and basically had a dummy spit. Why should I keep having to exercise every day to lose this weight? Why should I have to think about every damn thing I put in my mouth? Why am I still unhappy with myself no matter what freaking size I am?
So much has been going on. If you have a spare five minutes, check out my main blog – I write daily there, and it will fill you in.

I also lost my beautiful rabbit Lucy this morning, she died in my arms and I’m feeling so completely alone right now. It’s the 1st of October, the last day Lucy got to run around on the grass. A day I’ll always remember. And it’s also a great time for me to start over, to really do this thing.
I have less than three months before I go overseas to England. I was SO close to hitting under 80kgs, and now I’ll have to work back down to it.
And best of all? I booked a holiday for next August/September – going to Hawaii, and then doing a huge tour of the USA for six weeks. If travelling in the summertime (to beaches!) isn’t enough to get me moving, I don’t know what is.
I’m back on the bandwagon. Bring on October. (And take away all of the pizza!) I ran for 5km today, and walked for 1km. (In intervals, of course. But maybe one day.)

I decided to go back to weekly weigh ins for the time being, and I’m glad I did! Jumped on the scale this morning in my sports bra and undies, and saw this:
80.0kg!
I jumped on and off a few times but got the same reading – I even dragged my mum out of bed so she could verify it for me.
I’m so excited! 80kg was my first goal weight, and I’ve hit it! That leaves me 10kg to go until I hit my major goal of 70kg, but you know what? I am so stoked.
Makes me more inclined to keep exercising nearly every day.

You won’t believe it —- today I ran for 5km!
Combined with walking, I totalled 7km on the treadmill under an hour.
Not all in one burst (heck, no, are you MAD?) but with some bursts of walking in between, I kept going and managed to finish! Here’s how it went;
1.0km run – about 7.30 minutes
0.5km walk – about 4.30 minutes
1.0km run – about 7.30 minutes
0.5km walk – about 4.30 minutes
1.0km run – about 7.30 minutes
0.5km walk – about 4.30 minutes
1.0km run – about 7.30 minutes
0.5km walk – about 4.30 minutes
1.0km run – about 7.30 minutes
Total distance/time run = 5km / approx 37.50 mins
Total distance/time walk = 2km / approx 17.20 mins
Now if only I could actually run that distance in one setting, eh? I have jelly legs and am going to be sore tomorrow!

Well, I exercised for 12 out of the past 14 days, and ate well for about 80% of the time – I did splurge in the last few days by eating take out twice (including pizza yesterday, silly girl) so I’m happy for a loss at all.
I weigh 81.2kgs – or 178.64 lbs. I’m in the 170’s! This is awesome!
If that’s not motivation to keep up the exercise and to stop giving myself splurges, I don’t know what is … am one step closer to my 80kg goal. Can I get there? I bloody hope so!
I think I’m going to go back to weighing in weekly though – because I find myself WANTING to peek and I don’t want to start obsessing over the bloody scales again. So if I change my weigh in to Saturday, I can work hard during the week and hopefully see results at the end of the week.
Yep. That’s what I’m going to do! Today I have to ration my points/calories though, because we’re going out for Thai lunch-yum!

. . . I got checked out today by a cute guy at a service station.
Why is that strange? Because being completely honest, I haven’t been checked out in YEARS. In fact, even Jase doesn’t check me out anymore – because let’s face it, after almost five years I suppose the novelty wears off. Gosh it felt good. I felt smily and happy and drove home with a really good feeling in my stomach. Le sigh!
But my goal is for Jase to TOTALLY check me out when I step off that plane and he meets me at the airport.
Food was good today – and exercised for 45 minutes before collapsing into a heap. Tired girl today. Very tired girl. And wishing my friends were blogging more, I feel very alone lately. Sadness. Come back, ladies!

Well, last night’s Thai food was every bit as good as I had hoped. I had chicken & veggie stirfry with boiled rice, and made that my main meal of the day – so fit well within my points balance. Woohoo!
Today I exercised for 90 minutes, doing 6miles of Walk Away the Pounds with resistance. I swear, this tape is incredible. It sounds very easy walking on the spot – but when you add in all the aerobic moves like knee lifts, side steps, kicks and kick-backs AND the resistance for upper body, it really takes it out of you. I was sweating like crazy today!
Not much to report today . . . wishing the weekend could go on and on and on.

Well, it was fantastic! I made a couple of decent food decisions in a tricky spot – still splurging, but well within reason! The day didn’t start well, since I never got around to exercising – but I figured I’d done 90 minutes the past two days, I could spare a day. Snow Patrol were incredible, I reccomend anyone seeing them live if they get a chance!
My friend and I snacked on a small popcorn and water at the venue – that was my first good choice. Usually I’d get the standard combo of a LARGE popcorn and a COKE. Ha! Yay!
On the way home, we stopped through for a really late McDonalds dinner – I had a McChicken and passed on the chips, and we shared some nuggets as well. And considering I had eaten low calories the rest of the day, I still worked out under my limit!
This morning I exercised to make up for the splurges – I jogged for 20 minutes, walked fast pace on the treadmill for 10 minutes, and then did the 45 minutes 3mile Walk Away the Pounds tape. I think I’m actually starting to develop a teeny tiny bicep muscle from using the resistance belt.
It’s been a week since I weighed in, but I’m sticking it out again and waiting yet another week before I weigh on in. Hope you’re having a great weekend, I’m ordering in Thai food tonight. YUM!

Weekend! Weekend! Weekend! *chants*
Well, for me anyway. Thank goodness for random long weekends. I’m planning on spending my Friday doing a full room cleanout, because it’s starting to resemble a bomb shelter in here. Things thrown everywhere, piles all over the place.. I really need to start cleaning and also start storing things away that I’m not going to need again.
Tonight I did Walk Away the Pounds 45 minute 3mile workout TWICE again! I know, I’m crazy. 90 minutes of it and I feel it, I’m enjoying the difference by doing upper arm stuff as well. Those resistance band thingies really seem to work. (If only there was a miracle band for my spare tyre.)
*yawns* I am going to a concert tomorrow night (Seeing Snow Patrol, love them!) so I have to stay away from the munchies and drinks, and try and make sure to be smarter. But you know what? I’ll make sure I leave myself a bit of leeway in case I do feel the need to splurge. I’ve been great all week.

The other day in a mad rush, I went to delete this blog because I figured that nobody (except my dear Aimee) was reading it, but then I looked up this morning and BAM. It was alive again. It’s crazy.. I’m obviously supposed to keep it open.
Here’s the verdict from Saturday 1st September’s weighin, after (just about) a month with no scales. Well, the verdict is in.. I now weigh exactly 82kg. (180.4lbs)
It is a loss of around 2kg over the past month, which works out at around 500g a week. Not fantastic, but seems to be “normal” in all the healthy loss guidelines. I’ll take it! That’s 2kg closer to my next mini goal of 80kg.
It’s strange. For me, the first 5-8kg came off so fast, with minimal exercise and just healthier habits. But I feel like I’ve been mid-80’s for the LONGEST time. And it’s not like I’m super close to my goal or anything … I have another 12kg to lose. I guess I’ll just have to work harder.
Go me, I guess!
Jase asked me a good question when I told him – what do I want to do next? Well… I’m not going to go scale free for a MONTH, but I’m going to not weigh in again until September 15th. Fortnightly weighing in might give me that extra boost of motivation, because the scales just WEREN’T dropping weekly.

Well, it’s been voted – I’m going to weigh in on September 1st, which is this Saturday coming. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I’m hoping for 2kgs lost, which would bring me under 83kgs. Eee!
Kelly suggested I use CalorieKing.com.au to track some of my calories and see how much was in what, so I did – I know, months and years AFTER everyone else has discovered it! I am slow. But it’s fantastic!
I tracked yesterday and today, and it’s just another way of keeping on goal. I think I’m going to use it, since I write my food down here anyway. Doesn’t take long to whack the bits and pieces in, and does all the tallying for me. I likey!
Food eaten today – 2x weetbix, white tea, green apple, 600ml water, poppin’ lite popcorn bag, 600ml water & diet cordial, banana sandwich, 3x chicken enchilada leftovers, 600ml water & diet cordial.
Exercise done today – 60 mins, am proud of today! Instead of the usual walking, I added in some jogging too to spice it up. I’ve lost my jogging mojo lately, but here’s how I did.
10 minutes walk, 5 min jog x 4 repetitions.
I totalled 7.2km today!!!
