My usual Monday morning weigh in and I’m down again, thank goodness!
I lost 800grams. Which is 1.7lbs. Yay!
Bringing me to 86.8kgs – or around 190lbs! I’m on my way down!

Finally…. Finally!
I’m so happy to be going DOWN in the 85-90kg range. You wouldn’t believe how excited I am!!
In lbs, that is 192.72!!! My next goal is to get to 85kgs (187lbs) because THEN? I’m much, much closer to 80. And maybe then I’ll lose a dress size because NOTHING is coming off!
I went to the doctors today and told her about my shin pain – it’s definitely shin splints. She’s told me to warm up even longer than I already am, and if it continues I need to go back to her and see about visiting a physio. Basically, I’m stuck with them! Boo.
I’ll just allow myself some more time to warm up and see if that helps. I finished Week 1 of the Couch to 5k, I think tomorrow will see me start Week 2.
Only lost 200g this week, which sucks – but I do have my period and DID eat the pizza reward. Ah well. I’m happy enough that I didn’t gain! 88.4kgs at the moment.
It’s that “TOM” again now, and I feel like eating everything in sight. And more.
I have a bad feeling that Monday’s weigh-in will be really, really bad.
I did my 3rd “Couch to 5k” week one training today. Next week I think I increase the length of the jogging and walking. I’m not dead yet, so that’s a good sign!
Not much else to say. Ho hum!
Monday marked my one month starting date for the new exercise/cut the crap routine. I celebrated last night after line dancing (ouch! 5 songs in 2 hours! practice PLUS 2 times of each with music!) with a cheese pizza and a mini cadbury creme egg. Not bad since that’s practically the only junk I’ve eaten since early March! (And it was bloody brilliant!)
Today I’m back on with the healthy eating though – I’ve got to do Workout 2 of the Couch to 5K (running/jogging alternating) if I can get my thighs to be kind enough to let me get in the 30 minutes. They still dislike me after the first one on Monday, PLUS last night’s dancing.
I’m dying to get to 85kgs. Maybe by then I’ll have a more noticeable change. Aimee, I’m going to measure some main bits (waist, hips, boobs, thighs) this morning when I can find my measuring tape, just to write down for future reference. I just really, really want a dress size to go down!!
Don’t forget; I also blog here:
So I’ve been getting myself into the habit of exercising daily, and it’s been going well. I’ve only missed two days in a month, which is pretty impressive for me if I may say so myself! I was getting a bit tired of walking every day, and I CANNOT run for the life of me (the puffing and chest pains as well as shin splints? Not a good combination.)
Then I found the Couch to 5K training programme. I’m not sure that I’ll ever get to run 5k all at once (!) but I like the way it starts for beginners. Basically you train three times a week; walking for 90 seconds, jogging for 60 seconds and keep alternating for 20 minutes.
I figured I’d stretch it out to my 30 minute walking session, so I started the programme today. It seems easy at first, jogging for 60 seconds? Easy! But when you get halfway through and your legs start hurting.. ack. My shins were not enjoying the bouncing that jogging gave them. I ended up pausing at 10 minutes and doing some squats/stretches, then pausing again at 20 minutes to repeat. Also when I finished my 30 minutes.
Squats are bloody painful! I can manage 10 in a row (trying to suck my tummy in at the same time, eee, too many things at once! brain overload!) and by 10 I’m struggling! When I finished my workout today, I also did a line dance to 2 of my Ipod songs, hehe. Nice way to cool down and plus, noone is home today to watch me make an arse of myself dancing around the room. Bonus!
In other random news, I’m down to 88.6kgs as of this morning. And I have also decided I need a tighter sports bra, because it seems like my boobs are flying around more than usual. Don’t tell me the only place I’ve lost these couple of kilos are off the one place I QUITE LIKE being large!!! Where the hell am I losing it from? My big toe?
Whine whine, nothing fits differently except one pair of 3/4 pants that were a little big to start with. When will I drop a dress size?
Sorry for the lack of updating here, but I found a great website that is good for weight loss, lets you put in loss graphs and blogs to other community members. It’s great.
It’s called ExtraPounds.com. It’s free. You can find me there clicking here.
The good news? I’m under 90kgs for the first time in years. For the Americans out there, that is 197lbs, or thereabout. UNDER 200lbs! Effing fabulous! This morning, I weighed in at 89.4kgs. Next minigoal is 85kgs.
I’m not in the right frame of mind to go back to the gym just yet, meaning I’ve walked 30 minutes on my treadmill nearly every day. I’ve been using a website called “Get Fit on Route 66” It counts each minute of exercise as a mile and tracks it for you. Since March 12th, I have done 762 minutes of exercise. Bloody brilliant! So far, I’ve walked to Oklahoma, hee.
